Parking lot opening


A parking lot behind Charley's restaurant has opened after interrupting local businesses with 6 months of construction. A company from the mainland oversaw the contruction of the paid lot and will profit from the parking fees paid by tourists and locals. Some see it as progress, but not everyone is happy with the terms.

A tsunami generated off the coast of Japan travelled overnight to strike Paia bay. Luckily, our coast was spared any severe damage or loss of life.
